GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The Thunderbird men's golf team wrapped up play at the Desert Shootout on Saturday, an event hosted by the University of Denver played at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

As a team the Thunderbirds finished in 20th out of 20 teams in a stacked field, shooting a 38-over 902 (301, 304, 297) as a team.

SUU sophomore Fidel Concepcion led the Thunderbirds shooting one-over through three rounds, ending play with a 217 (70, 77, 70). Concepcion started strong and finished strong, but his score in the second round proved to be the difference in his score. He finished in a tie for 57th.

Cedric Young was SUU's second best performer, shooting 11-over through the three rounds. Bradley Collet was third for SUU and in a tie for 108th overall, shooting 14-over in the event.

SUU's Taylor Yardley and Humza Hameed both finished shooting 233, which placed them in a tie for 112th.  

Iowa State won the event, shooting 41-under for the event. Kansas was in second shooting 33-under and UMKC took third with a 30-under.

Joo-Young Lee from NIU and Antoine Rozner from UMKC tied for the top score of the event, as they both shot 14-under 202s.
