OGDEN, Utah - Nov. 19 - Southern Utah was unable to withstand a barrage of 3-point shots from the Weber State Wildcats on Thursday afternoon, as WSU hit 13-of-25 from long range to capture a 78-41 victory.  The loss drops the Thunderbirds to 0-3 on the year while Weber State moves to 2-1.

Dani Hosking's layup with 12:14 in the first half gave the Thunderbirds their first lead of the game, marking a 7-5 advantage.  The margin was quickly turned towards the Wildcats' favor as Weber State scored on the next possession.  Southern Utah trimmed the game to four on three occasions over the next seven minutes, but an 11-2 run over the final three minutes of the first half gave WSU a 32-19 advantage going into halftime.

Weber State opened the second half with seven consecutive 3-point baskets to build a lead of 54-25 with 10:06 to play.  The shots continued to fall for the Wildcats throughout the final half as Weber State recorded the 78-41 victory over the Thunderbirds at the final whistle.

Challis Pascucci led the T-Birds with 14 points and ten rebounds for the double-double.  Sarah Connor led Weber with 22 points, including a 6-for-8 clip from behind the 3-point arc.

Southern Utah will be back at home next week when the Thunderbirds host Brigham Young University on Tuesday night before traveling to the Montana State Thanksgiving Tournament over the weekend.
