Southern Utah Athletic Communications
Southern Utah's athletic communications office serves as the liaison between the constituents of Southern Utah's 13 varsity sports and the local, national, and international media.
The office strives to showcase the academic and athletic accomplishments of all Southern Utah student-athletes while growing the Southern Utah brand.
The Office of Athletic Communication serves as the chief public relations branch of Southern Utah Athletics.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to facilitating and overseeing all media interviews, arranging and monitoring press conferences and teleconferences, handling credential requests, coordinating on-site gameday operations, producing informational and promotional publications, writing and distributing press releases, compiling and distributing statistical information, and updating suutbirds.com and social media platforms with up-to-date information in a timely manner.
Interview Requests
All requests to interview coaches, staff, student-athletes, or their families must be submitted through the Athletic Communications Office. Members of the media are not allowed to contact student-athletes directly via cell phone, dormitory rooms, e-mail, social media networks, and other mediums. Violation of this policy may result in denial or limitation of future access. Additionally, requests to interview student-athletes and coaches are for working members of the media. This includes student-run newspapers and/or magazines. Requests by individual students to interview student-athletes and/or coaches for academic purposes or class projects will not be fulfilled. All interview requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Credential Requests
Football
All requests for working press, photo, and broadcasting credentials for Southern Utah's home football games must be made by contacting Regan Hunsaker (reganhunsaker@suu.edu). Credential requests must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. MT Thursday the week of each home game in question.
Due to limited space available in the press and radio boxes, spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
NFL scouts requesting credentials for scouting purposes should also request credentials through Regan Hunsaker (reganhunsaker@suu.edu). If needed, scouts can request a seat in the press box.
Media credentials will neither be mailed nor will be available for early pickup. Credentials will be distributed on game day at the America First Event Center box office or the Eccles Coliseum box office. A government-issued ID is required for pickup and each individual must claim only his/her pass.
Men's Basketball
All requests for working press, photo, and broadcasting credentials for Southern Utah's home men's basketball games must be made by contacting Parker Haynie (parkerhaynie@suu.edu). Credential requests must be submitted 24 hours before each home game in question.
Due to limited space available on the press row, spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.

All requests for working press, photo, and broadcasting credentials for Southern Utah's home gymnastics meets must be made by contacting Regan Hunsaker (reganhunsaker@suu.edu). Credential requests must be submitted 24 hours prior to each home meet in question.
Due to limited space available on the press row, spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Credentials can be picked up at will call at the America First Event Center box office two hours before the start of the meet for gymnastics meets.
Photography Guidelines
Photo credentials are issued for editorial purposes only. Photos of Southern Utah Athletics events and Southern Utah student-athletes may not be sold or used for personal promotion. Anyone trying to take photos/video without a credential will be asked to stop and may even be asked to leave the arena/coliseum.
Credentialed photographers are not permitted to shoot from inside of the team box on either side of the field in Eccles Coliseum or from in front or behind the team benches, the scorer's table, or the press row inside of the America First Event Center.
Post-Game Interviews
Football
Select Southern Utah players and the head coach will be available for post-game interviews following a cool-down period after the conclusion of the game. Only credentialed media members will be allowed into the post-game interviews.
Men's Basketball
Select Southern Utah players and head coach Rob Jeter will be available for post-game interviews in the tunnel on the east side of the America First Event Center following a cool-down period after the conclusion of the game. Only credentialed media members will be allowed into the post-game interviews.
Women's Basketball
Select Southern Utah players and head coach Tracy Sanders will be available for post-game interviews in the tunnel on the east side of the America First Event Center following a cool-down period after the conclusion of the game. Only credentialed media members will be allowed into the post-game interviews.
Gymnastics
Select Southern Utah athletes and head coach Scott Bauman will be available for post-game interviews in the tunnel on the east side of the America First Event Center following a cool-down period after the conclusion of the meet. Only credentialed media members will be allowed into the post-game interviews.
All Other Sports

Designated press areas for all home events have wireless internet access via the SSID and password provided on the nameplate at your seat.
