Ogden, Utah - The Lady T-Birds squared off against in-state rival Weber State on the road Thursday night, and fell to the Wildcats 75-56.

With the loss the Thunderbirds move to 2-22 on the season and 0-14 in the Big Sky Conference. Weber State improved to 17-7 on the season, with a 9-4 mark in the Conference.

The Wildcats started off the game on a 9-0 run, but the Thunderbirds kept fighting through the rest of the first half and cut WSU's lead down to five by the end of the 10 minute period.

The T-Bird's comeback was complete when they took the advantage a few minutes into the second quarter on a Jessica Richardson putback. The Wildcats would pull ahead late in the second quarter, and took a six point lead into the halftime break.  

The Wildcats came alive in the second half, outscoring the Thunderbirds 26-16 creating separation between themselves and the Thunderbirds. WSU closed out the quarter on an 8-0 run.  

Weber State was able to hold on in the fourth quarter, taking the game by a final of 75-56.

Jessica Richardson led the team in scoring with 15 points, hitting five from the field and five from the free throw line. She also pulled in eight rebounds. Breanu Reid finished the 10 points and led the team with four assists.

Deeshyra Thomas led all scorers with 18 points, closely followed by Kailie Quinn, who put 17 points on the scoreboard.

The Wildcats shot 50 percent from behind the three-point line, hitting 13-of-26.

The two teams matched points in the paint, both scoring 22.

Next up for the women's basketball team will be their final Big Sky Conference road game of the season, as the Conference Tournament will be played at a neutral location.

The T-Birds will square off against Idaho State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
