CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Thunderbird women's basketball team will return home this week to square off against the Cougars of Brigham Young University inside the America First Event Center on Tuesday evening.

Wrapping up a three-game road trip, the Lady T-Birds fell to the UC Davis Aggies 68-45 in Davis, California.
Playing every single minute for the T-Birds, Rebecca Cardenas scored 10 points on four-of-nine shooting to lead the team offensively. She also led the team in rebounding with six and assists with three. The junior also came away with two steals.
Bre Reid dropped in nine points for SUU and freshman Geassy Germano had eight.
Scout Report: BYU Cougars (5-1)
The Cougars of BYU will come to Cedar City claiming victory in five of their first six contests, with their lone loss coming to the California Golden Bears out of the Pac-12 Conference. Their five victories have come against UC Riverside, Eastern Washington, Utah State, TCU and California Baptist.
BYU is led in scoring by Shaylee Gonzales, who is averaging 16.5 points per game coming off the bench for the Cougars. Brenna Chase and Paisley Johnson are both averaging in double figures for the Cougs, with 14.2 ppg and 13.7 ppg respectively. Chase leads the team in assists with 31, while Shalae Salmon leads the team in rebounding, averaging 6.5 per game.
Jeff Judkins is in his 18th season with the Cougars, and has led the program to the NCAA Tournament eight different times.
