Box Score CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Lady T-Birds hosted the North Dakota Fighting Hawks Thursday night in the America First Event Center, falling 68-53.
After scoring the first points in the game, the Thunderbirds found themselves down early, shooting just 25 percent from the floor. The Fighting Hawks scored 41 points in the first half behind Lexi Klabo's 10 first-half points.
Whitney Johnson had 11 points and seven rebounds in the first half.
The Thunderbirds outscored the Fighting Hawks 16-11 in the third quarter, cutting their lead to 13, but North Dakota was able to hold Southern Utah off in the fourth and win the game 68-53.
Johnson had herself a night, posting her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Natalie Sanchez had eight points with four rebounds and two steals in her first game since January 27.
North Dakota's Klabo led all scorers on the night with 21 points.
The Lady T-Birds will host the Northern Colorado Bears on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
