CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Thunderbird redshirt sophomore Braxton Jones has been named to the HERO Sports Sophomore All-American First Team for his performance on the offensive line for the Thunderbirds this season. 

The Murray, Utah native redshirted the 2017 season for the T-Birds before becoming a regular role player in 2018. 

This season, he made a massive leap starting all season long for the T-Birds. 

He was also named to the Big Sky Third Team Offense for his production this season. 

Jones is the first T-Bird named to the Freshman or Sophomore All-American Teams by HERO Sports since both Landen Measom and Jalen Russell were honored by the publication following SUU's Big Sky Championship run in 2017.
