CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah women's basketball team will host UC Riverside on Thursday, December 19 for their final non-conference matchup of the season.

The Thunderbirds were in Colorado on Monday where they dropped a matchup with the Denver Pioneers, 81-73.
Harley Hansen was the leading scorer for the Thunderbirds with 20 points. She also led the team in steals with four and blocks with two. Ashley Larsen was right behind her with 19 points and led the team in rebounding with nine. Shalyn Fano tied her career-high with 15 points and was 3-for-5 from the three-point line.
Scouting Report: UC Riverside Highlanders (3-8)
The Highlanders are coming off of a 84-41 loss to No. 3 Oregon on Monday and have lost four of their last five games. Their three wins this season have come over California Baptist, Utah Valley, and New Mexico State.
Redshirt senior Jannon Otto leads the Highlanders in multiple statistical categories including scoring (13.6 ppg), rebounding (7.3 rpg), and assists (2.9 apg). Otto has posted back-to-back double-doubles with 19 points and 10 rebounds against the Ducks and 21 points and 14 rebounds against CBU.
This will be the third Big West matchup for the Thunderbirds this season, having won the first two over CSU Fullerton and UC Irvine. The Highlanders won last season's matchup in Riverside 56-50.
