CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah football program, and head coach Demario Warren, have announced the coaching staff changes made to the offensive side of the ball ahead of the upcoming 2020 campaign.  

Back in January, the Thunderbirds tabbed Matt Wade as the team's offensive coordinator. He will also be coaching the quarterbacks on the T-Bird roster moving forward. 

Offensive line coach Aaron Fernandez has become Southern Utah's run game coordinator, working closely with Wade on the offensive game plan on a week-to-week basis. 

Anthony Arceneaux, along with serving as the team's special teams coordinator, inherited the responsibility of coaching SUU's tight ends. He will also continue to coach SUU's slot receivers. Additionally, he will serve as the program's NFL Liaison. 

Sam Elliott has taken on the role of recruiting coordinator, along with coaching the team's running backs, working closely with the campus and community to enhance the student-athlete experience. 

Kenan Smith has moved into a full-time role with the Thunderbirds, serving as the team's wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator with an emphasis on communication and social media.  

Southern Utah is scheduled to open up their season on September 5, as they'll play host to regional rival Dixie State.
