CEDAR CITY, Utah – Southern Utah University women's basketball head coach Tracy Sanders has announced Advit Raghavan as the team's new director of basketball operations.

"We are thrilled to add Advit to our staff," Sanders said. "Advit comes in with great experience and will be a tremendous asset to our program. He is a tireless worker that absolutely loves the game."

Raghavan comes to Southern Utah by way of Pacific University in Oregon. At Pacific, he helped the Boxers to a 17-9 record and their first Northwest Conference Tournament appearance since 2009. Prior to his time in Oregon, Raghavan was a graduate assistant at Northern Arizona University.

"I am super excited about the opportunity to join coach Sanders' staff," said Raghavan. "The culture that she and her staff have put in place is something that I am extremely grateful to now be part of, and I cannot wait for what is ahead."

Raghavan was a four-year letterwinner for the basketball team at the University of Puget sound from 2013-17. He was a team captain during his senior season and played in 64 games with seven starts for his career.

SUU's conference schedule has been announced, and the full schedule will be announced shortly. The Thunderbirds will open conference play against Eastern Washington on Thursday, December 2.
