CEDAR CITY, Utah - The United Athletic Conference weekly awards are out and Isaiah Wooden has been named the Offensive Player of the Week. Wooden has been the most productive receiver all season for the Thunderbirds and will look to continue that trend in his final game for SUU this upcoming Saturday at Utah Tech.

"Isaiah has been playing well for the last month, playing really fast and using his eyes and hands well through the catch. It is not surprising that he scored four touchdowns on Saturday night, it's been coming for a few weeks."
Wooden played an outstanding game Saturday against Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. The senior from San Diego caught five passes for 123 yards and four touchdowns in the contest. Wooden now has a total of 13 receiving touchdowns on the season. He has a chance this week to break the 1,000-yard mark, something that hasn't been done at SUU since Tyson Poots did it in 2010.

Next Up
The Thunderbirds will head out on the road again next week to take on Utah Tech in the "Battle for the Axe". The game will be on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
