CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Coming off a one point loss to CSU-Baskersfield, SUU men's basketball will look to get one in the win column when they return to the America First Event Center to take on Life Pacific on Thursday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Life Pacific is coming off a 88-78 loss against Benedictine Mesa at home. They were led by Vince Fier and Austin Cook who had 19 and 18 points respectively. In the 2022-23 season the Warriors finished 8-18 overall and 1-17 in conference play. They ended the season on a 14 game losing streak. 

SUU is coming off an encouraging performance against CSUB after being down by double digits in the second half, they battled back to take the lead with 27 seconds left in the game. Freshmen Braden Housley had 22 points in the loss and Parsa Fallah tacked on 19 and four offensive rebounds. Dominique Ford played a team high 38 minutes and shot 4-7 from three-point range. Freshmen Prophet Johnson couldn't get it going scoring the ball but led the team with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals on the night. 

"We fought hard in the season opener and I was proud of our guys. We will keep learning and getting better as the season progresses. Excited to have a home game and let the community come out and get a look at our team." Said head coach Rob Jeter.
