CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Freshmen guard Prophet Johnson had 22 points on 8-12 shooting and led the Thunderbirds to a 108-73 victory over the Warriors of Life Pacific on Thursday, Nov 9 in the America First Event Center.
"Really proud of our guys, you never know how a team is going to respond when you have a tough loss like we did in the season opener and we came out and played with energy and intensity to start this game." Said Head Coach Rob Jeter.

SUU shot an impressive 59% from the field, 38% from three, and 74% from the free-throw line. The defense also held Life Pacific to just 43% from the field, and limited their second chance points to just two. SUU won the rebounding battle by an outstanding 48 to 22, including 14 offensive boards.
Individual Stats Recap
No player played over 28 minutes for the Thunderbirds and all 11 players that entered the game found the scoring column. Six players were in double-digits for SUU. Parsa Fallah led the team with eight rebounds and four assists to go along with his 12 points.
Zion Young had 18 points for the T-Birds and was an efficient 4-6 from three.
Chazz Hutchison nearly had himself a double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling down seven rebounds.
"Zion and Prophet got a lot of the same looks against CSUB as they did here tonight, and tonight they dropped. Sometimes that is just the difference, shots were falling for us tonight and that led to a nice win at home." Said Jeter
