CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah Thunderbirds Softball program and Head Coach Don Don Williams have added five talented athletes to their roster, each of whom brings something different to the team. Michaella Salvatierra, Madison Moreno, Isabella Knight, Michelle De la Cruz, and Tawnie Mozeris are set to make their mark on T-Bird Nation.

Michaella Salvatierra will arrive at SUU with a rich history of success, including being part of the 2021 14u Alliance Tier 1 National Championship and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. In 2021, she also contributed to her high school's CIF Open Division championship. In 2022, Michaella received Second Team All-League and helped her team to a CIF State Championship. Her 2023 accolades include First Team All-League and Offensive MVP and being named to the 2023 Alliance Nationals 16u All-Tournament Team, making her a valuable addition to the Thunderbirds' outfield.

Madison Moreno, a standout pitcher from Fullerton, California, has made her mark with various achievements. In 2022, she was named First Team All-League, and she helped her team secure the League Championship. She brings a history of success, including contributing to the League Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Moreno also earned recognition as a member of the 2022 16u Alliance Nationals All-Tournament Team.

These five athletes bring a wealth of experience and success to the Southern Utah University softball program.
