CEDAR CITY, Utah - As the upcoming season beckons, the Thunderbirds are honing their offensive line to forge a commanding presence on the field. The camp has unveiled both returning strengths and rising talents, showcasing the team's commitment to progress up front.

Head Coach DeLane Fitzgerald Said

"Our Staff is pleased with where we are, at the offensive line position right now. If we continue to improve we will hold up fine against the defensive lines in the United Athletic Conference."

Returning Standouts:

• Collin Gardner: Gardner's consistent performance and growth have positioned him as a key returning contributor. Gardner's size and athleticism put him in a position to make a difference on every play.  His understanding of the team's dynamics and his strong work ethic are invaluable to the offensive line's success.

• Kyle Sfarcioc: Sfarcioc's experience shines through as he prepares for another season. Sfarcoic is consistently able to make a difference on the line with his immense size and strength. His dedication to improvement and his understanding of the game's intricacies make him a valuable asset in the trenches. 

• Lyle Santos: Santos, a returning force on the offensive line, has set a high standard for performance. Named a member of the Bluebloods All-UAC first team, his experience is important to the success of the team. His reliability and commanding presence make him a cornerstone of the line, instilling confidence in his teammates and coaches alike.

• Loimata Mauga: Mauga's growth and progress are evident as he returns to the offensive line. The progress he has made since his first day on campus just a little over a year ago is what makes him a force to be reckoned with. His dedication to refining his skills and adapting to strategic demands make him a versatile and essential part of the unit.

Competing for Roles and Steady Progress:

• Connor Hickson, Jeremy Perkins, Austin Leausa, Steven Eakins: These players are actively vying for increased playing time, each bringing their unique strengths to the competition. Their determination to secure starting positions is driving overall performance improvement among the offensive linemen.

• Steven Moss and Kevin Donovan: Moss and Donovan's growth and consistent performance contribute to the team's depth. Their reliability ensures that the offensive line has reliable options as the season approaches.

Emerging Talents:

• AJ Dutchover, Dakota Dixon, Colton Campbell, Davion Martinez, Gage Schoeffler, Dylan Chapman, and Jelani Liva: These freshman offensive linemen are showcasing their potential during camp. As they continue to adapt to the collegiate level, their development could provide additional depth and options for the offensive line rotation.

With a blend of seasoned veterans in Santos, Sfarcioc, Mauga, and Gardner, as well as promising newcomers and contenders for playing time, Southern Utah's offensive line appears poised to provide the necessary protection and support for the team's offense in the upcoming season.
