Game Recap

First Half

Despite an early run by the Vandals, Southern Utah's Ava Uhrich kept the Thunderbirds in range, scoring six first-quarter points to make it a 17-15 game.

SUU's three-point shooting stole the show in the second quarter, with the team making four of eight from the perimeter. The spark on offense allowed the Thunderbirds to snatch the lead for nearly the entire period, entering halftime up 33-30.

Second Half

The two teams exchanged baskets to start the third, but shortly after, both offenses stagnated, going over three minutes without a point scored. A layup from Uhrich finally broke the stalemate, but Idaho extended to a 46-41 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Other than a set of back-to-back threes from Gandy, the Thunderbird offense struggled to get things moving in the fourth. The defense allowed the Vandals a 10-0 run to give them a 13-point lead to close the game.
