Box Score TUCSON, ARIZONA -- SUU played the first of three straight road contests at the University of Arizona and lost 102-66.
Head Coach Rob Jeter said
"That's a long and athletic team. They are one of the biggest teams in the country, and I thought we battled pretty good for the first ten minutes and then got a little undisciplined and they capitalized on that."

Game Recap
At the 11:24 mark in the first half, the Thunderbirds trailed by just four, 16-20. But SUU wouldn't score another point until the 7:13 mark, and suddenly, the Wildcats had a 15-point lead. And 8-0 run to close the half, and U of A went into the break with a 32-point lead.
The second half was a lot more of the same. Dominique Ford came to life in the second half, scoring all 13 of his points, including three made three-pointers. A tough running jumper in traffic by Jamir Simpson cut the deficit to 29, but that was all the Thunderbirds could do.
