Game 1 Recap
In a matchup against UNLV, Southern Utah found themselves facing an uphill battle as UNLV established an early lead. The Rebels wasted no time in the first inning, with Trejo and Morales each delivering RBI singles to put them ahead 2-0. The Thunderbirds got on the board when Laurie Cooke drove an RBI double to left center, scoring Toscano to make the score 4-1. The Rebel momentum continued, with hitters Martin and Schmidt extending the lead to 8-1 by the fourth inning.
