Men's Basketball Lands Big Time Transfer

CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Men's Basketball team is excited to announce the signing of Taviontae 'Tavi' Jackson, a highly touted Colorado State transfer.

"Tavi is the kind of player who can really change a locker room. He is experienced and very talented. He plays a very strong and versatile style of basketball. Whether we need him to play the 1, 2, or 3, he can do it all. He makes smart decisions and is very competitive on the defensive side as well. This is a big signing for us, and we are very excited."

Accolades: In high school, he averaged 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and four steals per game. He was a McDonald's All-American Game nominee after his senior year, as well as being on the 4A All-Nevada team, First Team All-Southern Nevada, and the Lake League Player of the Year. He played in 28 games for Colorado State and scored a career-high 16 points and added five steals in a win over MSVU.
