CEDAR CITY, Utah - The reigning Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champions, Southern Utah's Flippin' Birds, have taken the conference by storm, earning two of the MPSF Weekly Awards for week one. Freshman Mia Hampton earned Freshman of the Week, and senior Isabella Neff claimed Specialist of the Week, underscoring the program's strength in the early part of the season.
Head Coach Scotty Bauman Said
"These two are absolutely deserving of these awards. They both went out and put up clutch performances for the team this weekend. We couldn't be prouder of the work that they have put in and how it will continue to improve our team this year."
Hampton wasted no time making her mark in her collegiate debut, tying for first on vault with a stunning 9.800 and adding solid scores of 9.775 on bars and 9.500 on the floor. The freshman's calm under pressure bodes well for the future of the Flippin' Birds, as she has the potential to become the third all-around competitor for the team this year.

Neff delivered one of the most clutch performances of the meet, tying for first on bars with an event-high 9.900. The senior specialist showed her veteran composure and gave the team a crucial boost, leading the highest event total (49.075) of the weekend for the Thunderbirds.
The Flippin' Birds, led by Head Coach Scotty Bauman, are already setting the tone for another championship run. This early recognition in the MPSF Weekly Awards showcases the depth and potential of the team as they continue to build momentum for the season ahead.
