CEDAR CITY, Utah – The three-time defending conference champion Southern Utah gymnastics team has announced the signing of three standout student-athletes set to join the Flippin' Birds next season. The talented trio of Gillian Durbin, Sienna Fretwell, and Cally Lichfield will help lead Southern Utah into a new era as the program transitions to the PAC-12 Conference beginning in 2026.

Head Coach Scotty Bauman Said

"This class is incredibly talented and represents everything we look for in future Flippin' Birds. Each of them brings a strong competitive background and a level of polish that will help us continue our tradition of excellence. As we take this next step into the PAC-12, Gillian, Sienna, and Cally will be part of an exciting new chapter for Southern Utah gymnastics. I can't wait to see how they grow and contribute to the legacy this team has built."

Southern Utah continues to build upon its national success, having claimed three consecutive conference titles, the 2023 MRGC Championship, followed by back-to-back MPSF crowns in 2024 and 2025. This incoming class will add depth and power to a roster that has consistently ranked among the nation's best.

Gillian Durbin joins the Thunderbirds from Sparks, Nevada, where she trained at Flips USA Gymnastics, the gym that also produced Mackenzie Kelly, a regular in the T-Birds vault lineup. Durbin, a strong competitor who brings powerful gymnastics and athleticism across every event, has a chance to make an early impact on floor and vault.

Sienna Fretwell, a native of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, competed for TAG Sports Center and attended Terry Fox Secondary. Standing at 5-foot-6, Fretwell's combination of elegance and power makes her a dynamic all-around performer ready to make an immediate impact. Sienna is solid on all four events but excels on bars, beam and floor.

Cally Lichfield comes to Cedar City from Littleton, Colorado, where she represented Adrenaline Gymnastics Academy. Known for her athleticism and clean lines, Lichfield is a poised all-around gymnast with tremendous potential at the collegiate level. Litchfield spent the last year at Bronco Elite in Boise, helping to prepare her for the world of collegiate gymnastics.

As the Flippin' Birds prepare for their move to the PAC-12, this signing class represents the continued growth and national prominence of Southern Utah gymnastics.
