CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Men's Basketball team is coming off a narrow defeat at Omaha last night, and is heading straight to the state of Washington to take on the Bulldogs of Gonzaga in the Kennel.
Head Coach Rob Jeter said
"This is going to be a really tough challenge for our team, but if we can accomplish our specific tasks, we can be successful. We are extremely talented, we just need to continue playing as a team and helping each other.

Matchup History
The Thunderbirds are 1-2 all-time against the Bulldogs. The lone win came in 1996. The last time the two teams met was in 2012, when Gonzaga came away with a 65-103 victory.
The Thunderbirds
The last time out, SUU shot 48% from the field and just 25% from three. Omaha was 20-25 from the free-throw line, and the Thunderbirds were just 12-17.
Feroah added two blocks to his team-leading total with 12 now. Feroah (2-3) and Dylan Jones (2-8) were the only Thunderbirds to make multiple three-pointers.
Zach Bell started 7-7 from the field and finished 8-13, including 3-4 from the free throw line and 1-4 from deep.
Cale Barclay has been phenomenal as a true freshman for the Thunderbirds, scoring 11 points on 5-7 from the field, adding seven rebounds, dishing two assists, and snatching three rebounds.
Freshman point guard Elijah Duval led the Thunderbirds with 20 points, four rebounds, and five assists.
The Bulldogs
Gonzaga is a perfect 4-0 on the season, with impressive wins over No. 23 Creighton at home and a win in Tempe, Arizona, against ASU.
Ike Graham leads the Bulldogs so far this year, averaging a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Braeden Huff isn't far behind, averaging 13 points per game, and a familiar face to the Thunderbirds, Tyon Grant-Foster, a transfer from Grand Canyon, is averaging the third most on the team with 12Â points a game and seven rebounds.
The Zags shoot just under 50% from the field as a team, and 30% from deep.
They are also holding their opponents under 60 points per game.
