Game Recap

First Half

The Thunderbirds opened the game with stunning accuracy, connecting on their first five shots. They continued their well-rounded team offense until the end of the first quarter, when Trigueiro put on a masterclass from the three-point line, scoring four straight triples to lift Southern Utah to a 36-19 lead.

Extending their lead to 55-35 in the second quarter, SUU landed on the free-throw line early and often, making 10 before the halftime break. The team's first-half point total marks the most since the 2021-22 season.

Second Half

Fely took control in the opening of the second half, scoring four early baskets and creating an insurmountable lead for the Thunderbirds. To cap it off, Trigueiro added another triple to push the game to 77-41.

Trigueiro continued her accurate night, but it was freshman Vallory Kuelker who found herself in the spotlight to close out the game. She finished the quarter with eight points, two steals, and one assist, slamming the door on the Buccaneers 103-55.
