CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah University gymnastics team continues to dominate the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) awards, sweeping the conference's weekly honors for the second consecutive week. Freshman Mia Hampton, sophomore Rylee Miller, and sophomore Brinlee Christensen each earned recognition for their outstanding performances in the Flippin' Birds' recent meet against Sacramento State.
Head Coach Scotty Bauman Said
"Mia, Rylee, and Brinlee have been incredible for us all season, and their performances against Sacramento State showed just how talented they are. It's exciting to see their hard work pay off, and I couldn't be prouder of the way they continue to represent SUU in a conference full of incredible gymnasts."

Mia Hampton – Freshman of the Week (Fourth Time This Season)
Mia Hampton continues to shine in her debut collegiate season, earning her fourth Freshman of the Week honor. The Idaho native put on a spectacular show in front of the home crowd at the America First Event Center, tying for first place on the floor with an impressive 9.875. She also contributed strong scores of 9.725 on vault and 9.800 on bars, proving to be a key factor in the Flippin' Birds' success this season.
Rylee Miller – Specialist of the Week (First Time This Season)
Rylee Miller stepped up under pressure in Friday's meet, delivering a clutch performance on the balance beam. With the Flippin' Birds needing to hit every routine after an early fall, Miller rose to the occasion, scoring a meet-best 9.875. Her stellar routine helped the team post an impressive 49.050 beam rotation, solidifying her role as a consistent contributor this season.
Brinlee Christensen – Gymnast of the Week (Second Time This Season)
Sophomore standout Brinlee Christensen continued her dominance in the all-around competition, earning her second Gymnast of the Week award. Christensen posted a stellar 39.250 all-around score, including a tie for second place on vault (9.775), a tie for first on bars (9.850), and a tie for third on floor (9.850).
