CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- Brock Felder blocked five shots against Seattle U and officially tied the all-time single season record in SUU history with 64 blocked shots on the year. SUU struggled offensively in the game and fell to the Redhawks, 39-62.

• Kai Burdick had a really strong performance, scoring nine points and grabbing seven rebounds to go along with two blocked shots.
• Brock Felder logged his fourth game with at least five blocks.
• Jeffrey (JT) Langston Jr also scored nine points including his second made three-pointer of the year.

Game Recap

SUU just could not get the ball in the hoop in the first half. With 10 minutes left to play, the Thunderbirds had just one made field goal in the half and ultimately ended the half 3-25 from the field.

The defensive effort was there throughout, holding the Redhawks to just 32% from the field and 9% from three.

At halftime, the score was 35-18 in favor of Seattle U, and Cade Brazier knocked down a triple on his senior night just before the half closed.

Head Coach Jeter did a great job of making sure his seniors got the recognition and appreciation they all deserved, subbing each one into and then out of the game to give the crowd a moment to appreciate them. 

With the loss, the Thunderbirds finished the regular season at 12-18 and 4-12 in conference play.

The Thunderbirds will play in the first round of the WAC Postseason tournament, which is being held in St. George, Utah, at the Burns Arena.

Southern Utah will face the No. 9 seed Utah Tech on Tuesday, March 11, at 2:30 p.m.
