CEDAR CITY, Utah – Southern Utah linebacker Sebastian Adamski has been named the United Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his standout performance against San Diego on Saturday night.
Head Coach DeLane Fitzgerald Said
"Sebastian is a tough, disciplined player who sets the tone for our defense. He plays with great energy and effort every snap, and we're proud to see his performance recognized at the conference level."
Adamski was the driving force for the Thunderbird defense, racking up a team-high 12 total tackles, including two tackles for loss. His effort anchored a defensive unit that delivered key stops in the fourth quarter, sparking Southern Utah's comeback that ultimately forced the game into overtime.
Through two games this season, Adamski has been a consistent leader for the Thunderbirds. He paces the team in total tackles (22) and tackles for loss (3), while also contributing a quarterback hurry in the season-opening victory over Idaho State.

Adamski and the Thunderbirds (1-1) will return home this weekend to take on the Lumberjacks of NAU, looking to build momentum as the season continues. The Game is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. MT and can be streamed on ESPN+.
