CEDAR CITY, Utah — Southern Utah offensive lineman Jeremy Perkins continues to set the standard for excellence on and off the field, earning a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team. The honor marks Southern Utah's first CSC (formerly CoSiDA) Academic All-America selection since 2014, highlighting Perkins' impact as one of the nation's premier student-athletes.

A redshirt junior from Mesquite, Nevada, Perkins has been a cornerstone of the Thunderbirds offensive line while excelling academically as a Mathematics Education major. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate elite achievement in the classroom while competing at the highest level, and Perkins' selection underscores his ability to balance both with distinction.

On the field, Perkins played a pivotal role in powering the Thunderbirds offense to one of the most successful seasons in school history. His dominance at the point of attack, refined technique, and relentless effort helped establish the physical identity of SUU's offensive front. Perkins consistently created running lanes for the Thunderbirds' rushing attack, including Joshua Dye's explosive performances, while also providing dependable protection in the passing game.

Week after week, Perkins imposed his will on opposing defenses, setting the tone for an offensive line that fueled Southern Utah's historic production. His toughness, consistency, and leadership elevated the play of those around him and proved essential to the Thunderbirds' offensive success.

Perkins' CSC Academic All-America Second Team honor places him among an elite group of student-athletes nationwide and serves as a testament to his dedication both on the field and in the classroom. As he continues his pursuit of a degree in Mathematics Education, Perkins represents the very best of Southern Utah University athletics, excelling academically while helping lead the Thunderbirds through a landmark season offensively.
