CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah Flippin' Birds are flying high, sweeping the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) weekly awards following a season-high performance against No. 23 BYU. Freshman Berlin Hall, senior Niya Randolph, and vault specialist Kayla Pardue each claimed the weekly honors.

Head Coach Scotty Bauman Said

"Berlin, Niya, and Kayla all brought their best last week, and it showed in their scores and even more in the energy they gave the whole team. All three of them set the tone for a season-high team performance. It's exciting to see our gymnasts stepping up as we head into the heart of the season."

Hall, named Freshman of the Week, helped set the tone early with a strong 9.700 on vault before finishing the night with an impressive 9.825 on floor. Her poise in key lineup spots propelled Southern Utah to a season-high team score of 196.000.

Pardue earned Specialist of the Week thanks to a clutch 9.925 on vault, winning the event and providing critical momentum against a nationally ranked opponent. Her powerful, clean vault energized the lineup and helped push the Flippin' Birds to their best team total of the season.

Randolph, taking home Gymnast of the Week, dominated the all-around with a score of 39.300. She posted 9.825 on vault and bars, a team-leading 9.875 on beam, and 9.775 on floor, also earning podium finishes on bars and beam. Randolph's veteran leadership and consistency anchored the T-Birds in a tightly contested meet.

This marks the fourth weekly award of the season for both Randolph and Hall, and the second for Pardue, a great sign as the team moves into the middle of the season, ranked No. 27 in the country, with a key matchup at Oregon State this upcoming weekend.
