CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Men's Basketball team is wrapping up the 2025-26 regular season with a home contest versus the Lancers of California Baptist this Saturday.
The Thunderbirds will be celebrating eight seniors: Dylan Jones, Jaiden Feroah, Kai Burdick, Lorenzo Abellar, Logan Stephens, Langston Binns, and Chuks Isitua.
Head Coach Rob Jeter said
"We got a good opportunity to close out the regular season against one of the top teams in the league, and the only team that we haven't beat this year. I am grateful to all of our seniors that we are recognizing, and appreciate all the time they put into this program."

Matchup History
- SUU holds a 4-6 record all-time against the Lancers, but has lost both matchups this season.
- On January 17, the T-Birds played the Lancers to a three-point loss in Riverside behind 16Â points from Jaiden Feroah.
- The February 12 matchup was a more decisive victory for CBU, despite Isaiah Cottrell scoring a season-high 24 points.
The Thunderbirds
SUU is the second leading team in the WAC in scoring offense, averaging 76.4 points per game. The T-Birds still give the most points per game in the league at 79.3.
The Thunderbirds lead the entire league in 3PT% at 35% on the year, and they're third in FG% at 46%. They also check in second in the league in FT% with 72.5%, and they're third in the conference in assists per game with 14.03.
Elijah Duval is fifth in the league in PPG in conference play, scoring 15.38 per game in league play. He has scored at least 14 points in each of the last 11 games.
Jaiden Feroah checks in at eighth in the league in PPG in conference play, scoring 14.25, and he is second in the conference in rebounds per game with 7.5. He has scored in double figures in 13 of SUU's 16 conference games and has five double-doubles in league play.
Junior guard Tanner Hayhurst is coming off his first WAC Newcomer of the Week award after a career-high 25-point performance against rival Utah Tech. The most impressive thing about Hayhurst is that he leads the team in made three-pointers, and he shoots the deep ball at an unbelievable 48% clip.
7'0 center Kai Burdick has been making a massive impact in the last few games, and against Utah Valley the last time out, he recorded a career-high 16 points on a perfect 8-8 from the field.
The Lancers
CBU boasts the second-best conference record at 22-8 and 12-5 in conference play. Despite starting the year 0-3, the Lancers are 12-2 in their last 14 games.
The WAC preseason player of the year, Dominique Daniels Jr., has been phenomenal all season long. He has scored at least 20 points in 13 of the 17 conference games this season.
Daniels Jr is averaging over 23 PPG in conference play on 42% from the field.
Martell Williams is second on the team in scoring, averaging 13 points per game to go along with just under five rebounds.
CBU is an extremely aggressive offensive rebounding team, leading the league with 14.4 offensive boards per contest.
Southern Utah will have to be extremely disciplined in boxing out and securing defensive rebounds.
