2008-09 Highlights: Earned second-team all-Summit League honors after finishing second in the conference in free throw percentage (.889), fifth in scoring (17.8 ppg) and 19th in rebounding (4.7 rpg). Led or co-led the team in scoring 17 times and in rebounding five. Led the team in scoring in six of the final nine games. Posted career-highs with 28 points and nine rebounds vs. Centenary when he hit 11-of-16 shots. Paced team with 23 points, including an off-balance jumper in the lane to give SUU the lead for good, in the Thunderbirds’ upset win at NDSU. Scored 26 points at South Dakota State where he also pulled down a career-high-tying nine rebounds. Hit all seven of his free throw attempts and 7-of-11 shots vs Western Illinois when he paced squad with 23 points. Scored a team-high 22 points at home vs. South Dakota State, hitting 6-of-8 shots, 2-of-3 threes and all eight of his free throws. Fought off stomach flu to hit 10-of-19 shots to co-lead team with 24 points at UMKC, where he also had four rebounds, two assists and a steal in just under 40 minutes on the floor. Led team with 25 points at Western Illinois, where he hit 11-of-18 shots, including 3-of-5 threes. Led team with a then-career-high 27 points and six rebounds vs. Weber State when he hit 8-of-13 shots and all nine of his free throw attempts. Team’s scoring leader at home against IPFW when he scored 21, also co-rebounding leader with seven and picked off three steals. Hit 3-of-4 threes and 9-of-16 shots overall against Oakland to finish with 22 points, also pulled down five rebounds. Scored 25 points with nine rebounds against Seattle Pacific when he led team in scoring and co-led in rebounding. Led team with a 23 points at Florida where he hit 10-of-19 shots, 3-of-6 threes and pulled down eight rebounds.
2007-08 Highlights: Started 13 straight games but came off the bench in every game down the stretch. Led team in steals three times, in scoring and blocks twice and in rebounds and assists once. Poured in a career-best 20 points at IPFW where he hit 8-of-12 shots, including 4-of-7 3-pointers; also had a rebound and a steal vs. the Mastodons, followed that with 15 at Oakland. Tied his career-high with 20 points vs. WIU when he hit 8-of-12 shots. Scored 15 points and had career-highs in both rebounding and assists, with eight and three, respectively, at Cal Poly.
At UC Irvine: Averaged 2.9 points 1.0 rebound and 0.7 assists for the Anteaters as a true freshman in 2004-05 before departing to serve an LDS Church mission. Appeared in 19 of 29 games with one start, best game was a 13-point showing against Cal State Fullerton.
At Capistrano Valley High School: Was named first-team all CIF and all-Orange County as well as MVP of the South Coast League after averaging over 20 points and five rebounds per game his senior season. Also led the league in scoring his junior year. Averaged 30 points per game in the Las Vegas Prep Classic.
