At Volunteer State Community College: Averaged 8.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game last year for the Pioneers. Began his collegiate career at Virginia Military Institute, where he averaged 2.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game during the 2006-07 season before transferring to VSCC.

High School: Attended both Oakland and Siegel High Schools. Averaged 9.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game his senior season at Siegel HS. Helped Oakland to one and Siegel to three region championships, also helped Siegel to a district title. Siegel advanced to the state’s elite eight twice with an appearance in the final four as well. Was named all-district three times as well as to three all-tournament teams.

Coach Reid on Lucas: “Lucas has good size and strength and he has the potential to be a real factor but he needs to play hard and push himself to play to that potential. He has a nice jump shot he can take out on the floor and has a nice hook shot too. He gives us size we really need. When he learns the system and takes advantave of his strength and size he’ll really help us.
