Southern Utah University Athletics

At SUU, 2011: Joined the team in January and participated in spring drills. Appeared in all 11 games with nine starts playing primarily at free safety. Finished the season ninth on the squad, and fourth among returning players, with 32 tackles, including 19 solo stops. Also broke up a pair of passes and recovered a fumble. Best game was at South Dakota where he had a season-high 10 tackles, including five solo stops.

Personal: Came to SUU from Snow College where he played safety and helped Coach Steve Coburn's Badgers to a pair of conference championships. Tallied 52 tackles, with three sacks, eight pass break-ups and an interception his sophomore season. Was named defensive player of the game twice.  Prepped at Clements HS in Sugar Land, Texas, where he quarterbacked Coach Jeff Hulme's Rangers to the state playoffs. Threw for 2,029 yards and rushed for 750 his senior season, earning second-team all-district honors. Served an LDS church mission to Salta, Argentina. Parents are Carolyn and Johnny Fjord. Has chosen business as his major course of study.
