Biography
Coach Payne on Basia: “I believe that Basia will bring a level of tenacity that will help her transition to the college level very quickly. She will be able to play both small forward and power forward for us here at SUU as she is a great rebounder and runs the floor incredibly well.”
PREP: Heading into her senior season Klein was averaging 15 points, eight rebounds, and five steals a game at Santa Margarita. Her team recognized her efforts by giving her their Most Improved Player Award as a Varsity Starter in 2010. Klein has also competed with the CalSwish Nike National Travel Team for the past four seasons. Over the past two years she has been an honors student and was twice selected as a Toyota Scholar Athlete. She has also been listed as a prospect on the ESPN Hoopgurlz listings for the past three seasons.
PERSONAL: Mother is Barbara Klein ... plans to major in management.
