SOUTHERN UTAH THUNDERBIRDS

Over the years, Southern Utah University coaches and student-athletes have competed valiantly on the fields, courts and tracks to represent themselves, our institution and our communities. Their perseverance and accomplishments-both in competition and in the classroom-should be celebrated as the foundation on which our current and future student-athletes aspire to build upon.

What makes the achievements of the past even more impressive are the resource limitations that our programs have face oved the years.

Doing more with less has long been the expectation and has been a challenge that our student-athletes and staff from all eras have met head on with great determination.

Through all of their blood, sweat and tears the Thunderbirds have found a way to be succesful.

However, under the direction of new Director of Athletics Jason Butikofer, Southern Utah University Athletics is focusedon closing the resource gap and better positioning our programs to achieve sustainable academic and athletic excellence.

To creat long-term growth necessary for SUU to consistently compete in the Big Sky Conference and across Division 1 Athletics, we must continue to increase our annual revenue sources, of which charitable donations and corporate sponsorships present the greatest opportunity.

Therefore, sUU Athletics is excited to announce the creation of the
THUNDERBIRD ATHLETIC FOUNDATION
which will serve as the overarching umbrella over all Thunderbird Athletics Development operations, alumni letterwinner initiatives and community relations activities.

The vision for SUU Athletics is crystal clear. We expect our student-athletes and coaches to be champions-in competition, in the classroom and in life. We aspire to enhance the holistic development of our young men and women. We aim to make each and every one of you proud to be part of the Thunderbird Family. To acheive this mission, we need your help.
