Personal: Prepped at North Valleys High in reno, Nev., where he earned first-team all-state and all-region recognition as well as Player of the Year honors in the Sierra League his senior season when he tallied 13 interceptions. Also lettered in baseball and basketball, earning first-team all-state honors in hoops as well, after setting the Nevada state 3-point record. Father is Eric Kovich. Plans to major in nursing with a history minor.
