At SUU, 2007: Started 10 games at tackle, missed one with injury, finished third among defensive linemen with 37 tackles, also broke up three passes and logged a quarterback hurry. At SUU, 2006: Started all 11 games at nose tackle, finished ninth on the team and third among defensive linemen with 35 total tackles. Also tallied two tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry. Racked up a career-high seven tackles at McNeesse State, including six solo stops, also a personal best. At SUU, 2005: Played in all 10 games as a true freshman, finished fifth among defensive linemen with 13 tackles (four solo), including a sack and two tackles for losses. Also forced a fumble and recovered a fumble, returning it 14 yards.
Personal: Graduate of Layton HS where he earned first-team all-region and all-state honors as a senior after tallying 84 tackles with six sacks. A three-year starter on the defensive line for the Lancers, he also played on the offensive side of the ball as a junior and senior, earning all-state and all-region honors as well as being selected to the 5A all-star squad. Had five carries as a senior, all went for touchdowns. Also lettered three seasons in wrestling, claiming a region title and placing second in the state. Parents are Raelynn and Steve Curtis. Is majoring in communication.
