At SUU, 2012: Appeared in 10 games with nine starts at defensive tackle, tallied 18 stops, eight solo, with 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack, also broke up three passes, recovered a fumble, blocked a kick and recorded a safety. Earned academic all-Big Sky, all-District and Athletic Director’s Academic All-Star status.
At SUU, 2011: Appeared in nine games with
three starts at defensive tackle, tallied three tackles, two lolo, including a
sack for seven yards. Earned academic all-GWC honors after posting a
perfect 4.0 cumulateive GPA, the best by any football player in the conference
for the second straight season.
At SUU, 2010: Earned academic all-GWC honors last year after posting a 4.0 GPA, the only perfect grade point average by a football player in the conference. Appeared in seven games, tallied six tackles, three solo with a sack.
Personal: Signed with the Thunderbirds in 2007 prior to serving an LDS
Church Mission to Baton Rouge, La. Was an all-conference selection for coach
Todd Simmis' Eagles at Capital High School, where he also lettered in wrestling
and track and field. Parents are Laurie and Paul Meyer. Plans to major in
chemistry.
