At SUU, 2012: Handled all of the team’s punting duties, punted 67 times for 2,896 yards, an average of 43.3 yards per punt which ranked 11th in the FCS and is the fourth-best average in SUU history. Had a long punt of 72 yards, the fifth-longest in school history, at Utah State, also had a 71-yarder vs. Weber State. His punts resulted in eight touchbacks and 19 fair catches, with 25 inside the oppnents’ 20 yard line and he had 16 efforts of 50 yards or better. Finished the season with an SUU-record 42.6 yards per punt career average.
At SUU, 2011: Handled some place-kicking, some kickoff and some punting duties for the Thunderbirds, hitting 5-of-5 PATs and averaging 40.4 yards on 18 punts, pinning the opponents inside the 20 seven times with five fair catches and one touchback.
At SUU, 2010: Earned honorable mention all-GWC honors from the coaches after taking over the SUU placekicking duties midway through the season and connecting on 12-of-17 field goals and 27-of-28 extra points, Had a long field goal of 50 yards.
At SUU, 2009: Spent the season as a redshirt.
Personal: Earned second-team all-state honors as a punter and hit 8-of-11 field goals for Coach Brian Sipe’s Santa Fe Christian Eagles. Best game was homecoming 2008 when he was 3-for-3 on field goals with a long of 47 yards, averaged 63 yards on punts and had five kickoffs go for touchbacks. Also lettered in ice hockey. Parents are Cammie and Doug Miller. Plans to major in education.
