At SUU, 2008: Sat out in accordance with NCAA transfer rules. Won the starting quarterback spot in the spring game after rallying his squad from a 12-10 fourth quarter deficit with a 54-yard drive for the deciding score. Completed 17-of-31 passes for 113 yards and a TD in that game.

Prior To SUU: Spent the 2007 season as a redshirt at Oregon after suffering an injury at BYU in the spring of 2007. Played two seasons at Snow College, where he led the team to a 12-1 record his sophomore season to earn National Junior College Player of the Year honors. Threw for over 3,100 yards his sophomore season at Snow, when he tossed 33 TD passes and ran for another four scores.

Personal: Graduate of Utah’s Timpview HS, also attended Lehi HS for two years. Earned a combined four football, three basketball and three baseball letters, was named all-state and all-region his senior season at THS when he passed for over 2,500 yards and 29 touchdowns. Wife is Chelsy, parents are Carolyn and Gary Cooper. Majoring in economics with a finance minor.
