Matt White is an accomplished Offensive Line Coach with a proven track record of developing high-performing football programs. He currently serves as the Offensive Line Coach at Southern Utah University, a position he has held since February 2023.
In the 2024 season, White’s offensive line was instrumental in powering the Thunderbirds to a 7-5 overall record and a 6-2 mark in United Athletic Conference play, helping the team secure a strong finish in the standings. Under his guidance, the offensive line anchored one of the most potent rushing attacks in the FCS, clearing the way for Targhee Lambson, who led the nation in rushing yards and delivered a record-setting season for the program.
Prior to his time at Southern Utah, White spent four seasons (2019–2023) as the Offensive Line Coach at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. There, he played a key role in the team’s success, helping develop a physical and consistent front five.
Before Truman State, he coached the offensive line at Charleston Southern University from 2017 to 2019, contributing to improvements in both pass protection and run blocking.
White began his collegiate coaching career at Saddleback College in California, where he served as an Assistant Coach from 2014 to 2017. During this time, he helped mentor several student-athletes who went on to compete at higher levels.
His coaching foundation was built at Huntington Beach High School, where he served as Offensive Line Coach and Head of Strength and Conditioning from 2010 to 2014, playing a critical role in player development and team performance.
With a deep knowledge of offensive line play and a passion for mentoring athletes, Matt White continues to be a valuable asset to the Southern Utah coaching staff and a key contributor to the team's competitive success.
