At SUU, 2012: Appeared in three games and tallied five tackles but saw his season cut short by injuries. Tallied four tackles at Cal before going down with an injury, saw limited duty against Portland State but sat out the rest of the season.
At SUU, 2011: Played in five games with
one start, tallied eight tackles, six solo. Had three solo tackles at UNLV and
three tackles, two solo, in his start at Weber State.
At SUU, 2008: Spent the season as a redshirt prior to serving an LDS church mission.
Personal: Graduate of Grand County High School, where he was a two-time first-team all-state selection as well as a second-teamer as a sophomore. Played quarterback and defensive back for former SUU standout Dennis Wells at GCHS, rushing for over 2,500 yards and passing for another 3,000 during his career. Tallied 112 tackles, three sacks, 13 interceptions and 27 pass break-ups as a prep. Helped the Red Devils to a state championship his sophomore season. Also lettered in track & field and basketball, claimed state championships in the 100- and 200-meters as well as in the long jump his senior season when he set the state 2A state record for the 200-m. Also won a state championship in the 200-m and the 4x100 as a junior when he finished second in the long jump for the second straight season. Was a second-team all-stater in hoops as well. Parents are Stacey and Douglas Garrett. Served an LDS church mission to Kennewick, Wash. Is undecided upon a major course of study.
