Biography

 

At SUU, 2011: Came off the bench against Texas-San Antonio and UC Davis, completed 4-of-8 passes for 18 yards and carried once for two yards.

 

At SUU, 2010: Played in three games and completed 7-of-11 passes for 86 yards with one touchdown and one interception, finished season with a quarterback rating of 141.13. Best game was against Dixie State when he completed 5-of-6 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.

At SUU, 2009: Spent the season as a redshirt.

Personal: Was named his team’s MVP for both football and baseball at Trabucco Hills High in 2007-08. Was also school’s Athlete of the Year following his junior year at THHS. Completed 141-of-223 passes (63.2 percent) of his passes last year for 2,240 yards and 18 touchdowns. Tossed a “perfect game” against arch-rival Huntington Beach HS when he completed 11-of-11 passes. Missed two games because of a broken wrist. Helped lead Coach Jason Negro’s Mustangs to the Southwest Division CIF southern section finals in 2007 and semi-finals in 2008. An Honor Roll student, he also competed in baseball at THHS. Parents are Trisha and Glenn Mayer. Plans to major in psychology.
