• Lived in Cedar City for eight years. Played football and wrestled for Cedar High School as a freshman before moving to Honolulu, Hawaii
• Lettered 3 years in football, 4 years in wrestling and 2 years in baseball
• During his senior year, he was USA TODAY's 2015 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Hawaii Football 1st Team
• Was a 2015 OLIN KREUTZ AWARD - Cover2 Hawaii Lineman of the Year Finalist
• Also received 2015 Cover2 All-State Football Team, Scoring Live All-Hawaii Football Team, Star Advertiser All-State Football Team and Hawaii Prep World All-ILH Football 1st Team honors
• In 2015, he was also the #2 Heavyweight Wrestler in Hawaii
• Was ranked multiple times his sophomore and junior years including, 18th Nationally and 4th Regionally by USA Today,  and 1st in State
• Has eight family members who also played sports at the collegiate level
