Prepped at Salt Lake City’s Alta High School, earned all-region, all-state and academic all-state honors after helping lead Coach Mitch Lunak’s Hawks to a region title and an appearance in the state semi-finals his senior season ... rushed for over 400 yards and threw for another 2,100 his senior season when he accounted for 24 touchdowns, 18 through the air and six on the ground ... also earned four letters in baseball and earned all-state honors as a first baseman ... school’s male athlete of the year as a senior ... completed high school with a perfect 4.0 GPA, finishing first in his class of 830.
