Moved to offensive line from defensive line in the spring and started all 13 games, working at both guard and center

At SUU, 2012:

Appeared in all 11 games with starts at Portland State and at home vs. Montana State at defensive tackle
Tallied 11 tackles, three solo, with 1.5 TFLs
Made the move to offensive line this past spring

At SUU, 2011:

Earned a spot on the travel squad, appeared in one game, vs. Texas-San Antonio, but didn't record a tackle

Personal:

Prepped at Delta High School where he was a consensus first-team all-state selection last year when he finished with 70 tackles, including 12 sacks, and served as a team captain
A three-year starter for coach Russ Henrie's Rabbits, he was named team's MVP in 2009, also earned second-team all-region and honorable mention all-state honors as a junior
Also lettered in basketball at DHS. Parents are Holly and Aaron Nissen. Plans to major in sports medicine
