Biography

 

At SUU, 2011: Appeared in six games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams, tallied six tackles, all solo.

 

At SUU, 2010: Moved to defense after joining the Thunderbirds as a quarterback, was a varsity reserve.

At SUU, 2009: Spent the season as a redshirt.

Personal: Earned first-team all-league, all-area and all-CIF honors last year after passing for 1,805 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushing for another 600 yards and 12 scores. Helped lead Coach Frank Mazzota’s LaHabra Highlanders to league and CIF championships in 2008. Also competed in basketball, earning first-team all-league honors. Parents are Jeri and Russ Nygren. Is undecided upon a major area of study.
