At SUU, 2009: Started all 11 games at linebacker, finished the season seventh overall in tackles with 54 (21 solo), also had three tackles for losses and a sack. Had a sack vs. North Dakota and tallied tackles for losses at Northern Arizona and Utah State. Had a season-high eight tackles vs. North Dakota.

At SUU, 2008: Played in all 11 games and earned a starting spot midway through the year. Finished with 46 tackles, including seven for losses and one sack, also had a pair of quarterback hurries and recovered a fumble. Had a pair of eight-tackle games, at Air Force and at UC Davis. Tallied six tackles with two TFLs and broke up a pass in SUU’s 2009 spring game.

Personal: Spent one season at Glendale Community College and redshirted a season at Utah. Prepped at Salt Lake City’s Alta High School, where he was a two-time first-team all-region selection as well as a consensus first-team all-stater his senior year when he was his team’s as well as his region’s defensive player of the year. Tallied over 270 tackles with 22 sacks, three interceptions and four touchdowns scored as a linebacker during his high school career. Helped Coach Les Hamilton’s Hawks to a region championship and served as a team captain. Parents are Val and Steve Bunting. Majoring in business.
