At SUU: Joined the Thunderbirds in January and participated in spring ball.

Personal: Played one season at Mesa CC, where he competed in four games before an injury ended his season. Also played baseball at Chandler-Gilbert CC prior to transferring to Mesa CC. Prepped at Highland HS in Gilbert, Ariz., where he was a three-year letter-winner for Coach Pete Wahlheim. Tallied over 1,110 receiving and 250 return yards his senior season when he also had 40 tackles and five interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. Had 13 total touchdowns his senior year when he earned all-region honors on both sides of the ball. He holds the state record for longest kick return with a 99-yarder. Also lettered in baseball and basketball, earning all-region honors in baseball. Parents are Malisa and Earlie West. Is majoring in physical education and human performance with an exercise science emphasis.
