At SUU, 2010: Appeared in all 11 games with six starts at safety, also excelled on special teams. Had 17 tackles, 10 solo, was in on a tackle-for-loss and blocked a kick.
At SUU, 2009: Finished third among safeties with 28 tackles, including 16 solo stops, in ‘09 when he appeared in all 11 games with eight starts. Also blocked a kick and was in on a tackle-for-loss. Had a season-high seven tackles, five solo, vs. UC Davis, blocked a kick vs. Eastern Washington.
At SUU, 2008: Earned a spot on the traveling squad with outstanding special teams play, finished season with seven tackles, two solo, also recovered a fumble. Had eight tackles, including six solo stops and a tackle-for-loss in the 2009 Red/White Scrimmage.
Personal: Graduate of Las Vegas Centennial High where he tallied over 1,000 all-purpose yards and over 100 tackles as a senior when he also intercepted four passes. Earned all-conference honors at CHS. Also lettered in basketball, earning team’s defensive player of the year award. Parents are Annette and Craig Turley. Is majoring in integrated engineering.
