Spent the 2003 season as a redshirt.

@%& Personal: Graduate of Beaver HS where he was three-time all-region and two-time 2A all-state performer who rushed for 1,282 yards, threw for 796 yards and racked up 540 return yards with 33 touchdowns his senior season and was named team MVP. Also earned all-state honors in basketball and baseball. Born 10-8-84 in Beaver, Utah. Parents are Wendy Smith and Thayne Marshall. Thayne was one of the all-time SUU greats and is still listed in SUU’s record books in multiple rushing and receiving categories. Plans to major in sports medicine.
